This week DE&S was crowned winners at the Continuity, Insurance and Risk (CIR) Risk Management awards.

Scooping the top prize in the Public Sector Risk Management Award category, the team was recognised for the excellent work performed by DE&S’ community of risk specialists to advance and improve delivery across DE&S projects, programmes and broader operations – all in support of our armed forces.

Attending the awards ceremony in London, Rob Wixey, Megan Arrowsmith, Laura Walker, Tom Clare and Kate Westlake represented more than 100 project delivery professionals across the DE&S risk community.

DE&S Head of Project Delivery, Rob Wixey said: “This is a fantastic achievement that recognises the excellence and dedication of our Risk professionals.  Each and every one in the Risk community should be proud of their efforts and contribution to DE&S delivery to our Armed forces”.

Competing against AtkinsRéalis, National Highways, the Devon Audit Partnership, Greater Manchester Police, and BlackBerry, this award recognises the successes of DE&S’ Risk Management Improvement Programme that has been running over the past 12 months.

The CIR awards seek to showcase excellence and innovation in risk management from across a variety of diverse sectors, recognising the effort of individuals and organisations from the UK and abroad.
