Dedicated people across DE&S have been recognised in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours list for their services to UK Defence.

They receive their awards for outstanding efforts supporting our Armed Forces, including crucial contributions made in the areas of logistics and across maritime, land and air support.

The UK honours system rewards people for exceptional achievements, merit, service or bravery, recognising their achievements and contributions to public life that go above and beyond.

They are awarded by King Charles III, following recommendations by the Cabinet Office, and members of the public can also recommend people for an award.

The Honours List is announced twice a year – at New Year and on the King’s official birthday in June. The awards are presented to recipients by members of the Royal Family throughout the year at investiture ceremonies.

Lt Gen Simon Hamilton, DE&S Deputy CEO, said:

“Every day our colleagues across DE&S are carrying out work that makes me proud to be a part of this organisation. In today’s uncertain world, where we see threats rising across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, it couldn’t be more important for the UK to have a defence enterprise that it can rely on to move with agility, innovation and speed, and deliver battle-winning capabilities to those that need it.

“To see so many of our people recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours for their efforts going above and beyond is truly inspirational and I thank them and everyone at DE&S who is working to the best of their abilities to support our Armed Forces.”

He added: “Huge congratulations to everyone who has been honoured.”
