Job description for Supply Chain
In this vital role, you will act as the primary point of contact for communications between DM Gosport and the Armed Forces, ensuring the delivery of a world-class service. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the support and operational readiness of our Armed Forces, making a tangible impact on the service we provide.
You will work as part of a close-knit team of six, collaborating closely with the Logistics Manager, who oversees all depot logistics operations on-site. Your role will be integral to the smooth running of operations, and your presence on-site will be essential to ensure success in this position.

Regular in-person attendance is required (this is expected to be approximately 100% of your working week) to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration alongside flexibility of hours to support work-life balance and business need.
What you’ll be doing
- This role aid teams (Customer Support, New Service Provision, Operations, Production Planning, Contracts, Engineering, Quality, Warehousing and Finance) in the provision of Logistics Services and Materiel Accounting, supporting the interface between the organisation and its customers
- Adopt a multi-skilled philosophy and approach in supporting wider operations and activities in accordance with local and departmental policy and procedures.
- Monitor demands against materiel pipeline supply framework in accordance with -Defence Logistics Framework – DLF
- Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement across delivery teams or other stakeholders.
- Maintain quality levels as required by the business and key performance indicators
- This role provides assistance for co-ordinating the delivery of in-service support to operational platforms from a materiel’s perspective (including Weapons Ordnance Munitions and Explosives – WOME). Ensuring the customer’s requirements are met in line with the Front-Line Command Management Plans.
Person specification
To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
- Experience of stakeholder engagement
- Experience in delivering customer service
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams)
