Job description for Business Coordinator Manager
Are you ready to take on a role that truly makes a difference? We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join the British Forces Post Office (BFPO) as a Business Coordinator Manager, part of Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S).
At BFPO, we’re proud to deliver secure postal and courier services to the UK Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defence, and other government departments around the world. Our work is more than logistics, it’s about connection, morale, and operational success.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our strategic efforts, helping to shape and deliver projects that align with our long-term vision. You’ll bring strong administrative expertise and a confident command of IT tools like SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365 to manage information effectively and keep everything running smoothly.
You’ll thrive in an environment where independence is valued. With minimal direction, you’ll organise tasks, build consensus, and communicate clearly, whether that’s through written reports for senior leaders or stepping in to deliver briefings on behalf of the Head of BFPO. Your ability to turn objectives into actionable plans and extract meaningful insights from data will be key to your success.
We’re looking for someone who’s not only practical and proactive but also people-focused and full of ideas. If you’re excited by the challenge of modernising a proud, traditionally military organisation, and you value inclusivity and innovation, you’ll feel right at home here.
At BFPO, we’re part of a wider team that keeps the UK Armed Forces moving. Our Operational Delivery Managers ensure that vehicles and equipment are supported throughout their life cycle, from launch to retirement. It’s a career that offers real purpose, where your contributions are recognised and your voice matters.
Customer service is at the core of what we do. That’s why we’re looking for a natural collaborator, someone who can build strong relationships, understand diverse needs, and spot opportunities for improvement. You’ll be working in a fast-paced HQ environment, coordinating a wide range of activities across BFPO Operations and Support.
In return, you’ll enjoy a wealth of development opportunities, including specialist training and funded professional qualifications. You’ll also have access to a vibrant network of employee communities, such as the Women’s Inclusive Network, Race & Culture Network, Pride Network, and Disability Network. We understand that life doesn’t stop outside of work, so we’re proud to support flexible working arrangements that help you find the right balance.
This role comes with a London Allowance of £3,300 per year. Based at RAF Northolt, you’ll benefit from on-site amenities including a canteen, gym access, and free parking.
Please note that on-site attendance will be required for a minimum of 3 days per week.
