Recruitment complaints procedure
If you have a complaint about DE&S recruitment (or you believe that appointments have not been made on merit after fair and open competition in line with the published Recruitment Principles), you can raise a complaint with DE&S in the first instance by emailing dbs-complaints@mod.gov.uk or alternatively by writing to DBS here:

If you have already raised the recruitment issue with DE&S and you believe your complaint has not been satisfactorily resolved, you have the right to complain to the Civil Service Commission by following their complaints procedure which can be found on their website:
