RAF Northolt – British Forces Post Office (BFPO)

The British Forces Post Office comprises of around 280 civilian and military staff across 11 different locations in the UK, 230 of which are stationed at the Headquarters at RAF Northolt, North West London. The organisation sits within Defence Equipment and Support as part of the Land Domain.

The purpose-built HQ was built in 2007 and provides a modern, comfortable working environment, allowing staff access to the RAF Northolt facilities including a gym and sports facilities.

Travel

By car (from North)

Proceed south along the A40 towards central London. Turn off at the Polish War Memorial junction. At the roundabout take the first exit towards Ruislip (West End Road).

After approx. 0.5 miles turn off the West End Road into the White House Gate entrance, immediately before the Shell Garage, and at the third set of traffic lights.

RAF Northolt is outside the Congestion Charge.

By London Underground 

The nearest tube stations are Ruislip Gardens and South Ruislip, both located on a branch of the Central Line. Trains run approx. every 10 – 20 minutes.

Walking distance to the White House Gate entrance to BFPO is approx. 0.5 miles or 10 minutes.

By Rail

The nearest Railway station is South Ruislip (Chiltern Railways), and the entrance to RAF Northolt is just a short 15 minute walk away.

By Bus

There is one bus route that passes RAF Northolt Aerodrome – the ‘E7’, which travels between Ealing Broadway and Ruislip Station. The nearest bus stop is between Ruislip Gardens Station and South Ruislip Station and is approx. a 3 minute walk from the White House Gate.

Buses run approx. every 10 minutes. Walking distance to the White House Gate entrance to BFPO is approx. 0.5 miles 10 minutes.
