Personnel from DE&S have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to UK defence in the 2026 New Year Honours list.

The honours celebrate exceptional service across defence, including crucial contributions made in the areas of logistics, capability and military communications. The awards honour both military and civilian staff whose work ensures our armed forces have the capabilities they need to protect the nation.

King Charles III awards honours twice annually – at New Year and on his official birthday in June – to recognise people who have made extraordinary achievements in public life and committed themselves to serving and helping Britain. Awards are presented throughout the year at investiture ceremonies held by members of the Royal Family.

Recommendations come from the Cabinet Office, with members of the public also able to nominate individuals for recognition.

DE&S CEO Simon Hamilton said: “These honours are richly deserved recognition of the exceptional people who work tirelessly to deliver for our armed forces. Behind every award is a story of dedication, expertise and commitment to our national security.

“The work our teams do – often unseen but always vital – gives our military personnel the edge they need to defend our nation. I am delighted to see that contribution acknowledged at the highest level. My warmest congratulations to everyone recognised in this year’s honours.”
