We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Project Manager based at Brize Norton working on a multinational aircraft programme with international partners.
As a Junior Project Manager you will be supporting the Project Manager to deliver elements of a high profile multi-million pound project. You will be using recognised project management principles, tools and techniques.
You will be responsible for supporting a wide range of project activities throughout the project life cycle for the support of the RAF’s most advanced, proven and cutting edge certified 21st century state-of-the-art A400M airlifter platform. ‘Atlas’, a four-engine turboprop aircraft, can deliver 25 tonnes of cargo over 2,000 nautical miles at impressive speed and can use short and unprepared runways.
The key aspects of this job are interaction with multi-national organisations, RAF personnel, industry and the wider delivery team, helping to drive project management best practice whilst working collaboratively to deliver services to the front-line Command customer, via an integrated and coordinated cross-functional effort
With a proactive and continuous improvement mind set, you will encourage a culture of imaginative thinking, learning from experience and challenging the status quo to continually drive for improved quality. You’ll play a key role within a diverse team and will actively contribute to an environment in which everyone is collaboratively working, communicating clearly and delivering to a clear plan of action.
Brize Norton is the UK’s largest RAF station and offers a truly impressive work location of an airfield environment. You’ll have the chance to work alongside the aircraft you are supporting day to day and understand the real-world impact your role makes to our RAF front line.

Responsibilities for Project Manager
In this role, you will be entrusted with:
• To support the development of project documentation
• Provision of project support to the wider Project Delivery Team
• Assisting in the coordination of a high-performing cross-functional team
• Supporting and contributing to the analysis of requirements, risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and opportunities
• Building relationships, influencing stakeholders and managing expectation
• Maintaining consistent outputs within ambiguous or uncertain environments
• You will be supported to deliver outputs that are critical to UK defence, and will be provided with training to further develop Project Professional skills.
What you will be assessed against
To be successful with your application you must demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:
• Previous experience of understanding or applying project management tools and techniques to contribute to successful project delivery outputs
• Experience of engaging and / or supporting stakeholder
• Contributing to project improvements or change
