We are currently recruiting for Information Support Officers across our Information Management & IT function. The successful candidates will support the management and exploitation of information within the business and provide advice and guidance on your area of expertise. A good awareness of Knowledge & Information Management will be required, alongside strong organisation skills.

The position supports all aspects of the business to ensure that it can operate as efficiently as possible whilst adhering to relevant policy and guidelines. Some of the tasks that I have been involved with have included creating new processes, delivering training, interrogating data and building new information management solutions.”

Responsibilities for DE&S/SDA Information Support Officer
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Deliver activities to ensure information is being captured, stored, distributed, used, processed, retained and eventually disposed of, to meet the requirements of the law, MOD policy and guidance and the requirements of the business.
- Provide direction to Information Support Administrators and deal with any issues raised by them and more complex requests to ensure a high quality of service is maintained.
- Interpret policy and maintain information environments and records to ensure compliance with Information Management good practice, standards, policy and legislation.
- Actively manage end user expectations to provide high levels of service.
- Provide guidance for stakeholders and share best practice across the KIM community.
- Support Records Management to ensure information can be stored, retrieved effectively and risks managed.
Person specification
To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
- Experience of Knowledge & Information Management in an organisation
It would also be great if you can demonstrate any of the following desirable criteria:
- Experience in records management
- SharePoint and MS Teams experience
- Experience in stakeholder management and communication
In addition to the responsibilities above, the following technical competences and behaviours will be assessed at interview:
- Knowledge and Information Management – Supervised Practitioner
- Service Delivery and Operations – Supervised Practitioner
- Working together – CSBC3
- Managing a Quality Service – CSBC2
