Job description for Business Coordinator

The role of Business Co-Ordinator is key to our workforce operations team for our Defence Munition sites across the UK. We are looking for someone who can operate effectively in a fast-paced working environment that will be supporting parts of our recruitment process.

The position gives you the opportunity to have a strategic view of our organisation, liaising with different stakeholders across all levels while gaining an overview of Defence Munitions operations and ensuring adherence to our resourcing policies and processes.

Responsibilities for Business Coordinator

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Supporting the recruitment process, while being the point of contact for our Defence Munitions sites across the UK, to offer guidance and answer queries around recruitment.
  • Workforce planning activities, such as updating and monitoring data management systems to provide accurate forecasting information for performance boards.
  • Update and Maintain recruitment records, ensuring all approvals are in place and raising new resource requests for recruitment activities as necessary.
  • Engagement with multiple stakeholders across the organisation at all levels, to develop and maintain best practice.
  • Provide support in the provision of advice and guidance to Team Leaders.
  • Assist in preparing Management Information (MI), including analysis, for regular management meetings.
  • Collate information and data to assist in providing Business Intelligence.
  • Provide support for the Team lead for workforce planning.
  • Coordinate and support implementation of continuous improvement across delivery teams or equivalent.

Person specification

To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • Prior experience of workforce planning.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate, both written and verbally with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Demonstratable decision making and prioritisation skills.
